Welcome to the delightful world of Auntie Sugar!

Made with simple ingredients in small batches in a home kitchen, this toffee has been lovingly made every Christmas by my mother, Rosemary, for almost 50 years. Rosemary is the original Auntie Sugar. This toffee is a continuation of her love of entertaining friends and family. It is born from a legacy of love.

 

Those of us who have been the lucky recipients of this toffee agree that it would not be Christmas without this delicious treat. The toffee has the perfect amount of crisp and crunch, sandwiched between luscious milk chocolate and walnuts. Perfection!

Like the toffee itself, Christmas in our home was pure delight. Sugar Plum fairies had nothing on Rosemary and her sparkling personality. While Vic Damone, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole crooned happy Christmas songs, she tapped danced between batches of her toffee. She turned her kitchen into a spoon licking extravaganza! Cookies, cakes & treats abounded, but it was the toffee that set her apart.

Over the years, she has been approached by candy companies for the recipe, but she has refused to divulge it to anyone – until now. She has often said that, while the ingredients are different than other toffee recipes that she has seen, it is the candy making process that is the actual secret.

As in every great recipe, love is a key ingredient, and the one I treasure the most. I am now bringing her extraordinary toffee to you with pride. Enjoy!
